Several years ago one of my favorite scrapbook artists, Ali Edwards asked this same question. She introduced an interesting concept that I instantly adopted. The idea is to find a single word that you can apply to your life for a full year. Sort of like a New Year's resolution, but deeper, more like a value.
My word for 2013 is simple.
For me, this means working towards a simple life. This doesn't mean boring or bland, just not complicated. My hope is that by the end of this year I can look back and know that I have lived life instead of dealing with unnecessary details (like clutter). January will be the month I work on simplifying things in my life. You know what that means, de-cluttering and putting systems in place. As the year progresses, I'll update you as to how it's going and share any revelations that may be interesting.
So how about you? What is going to be you word for 2013? Leave a comment, I would love to know.
